Janessa Castor's journey into the insurance industry was anything but planned. Initially skeptical when a friend suggested she'd be a great fit for the field, she quickly discovered that insurance is a career filled with learning, problem-solving, and helping people when they need it most.

Now, with a year and a half of experience under her belt, Janessa thrives in her role as Account Manager at Aegis, where she is challenged daily and gets the opportunity to make a meaningful impact for clients. Her strong communication and organizational skills help her provide exceptional service, and she takes pride in knowing that her knowledge can assist people in times of need.

Before stepping into insurance, Janessa dedicated 18 years to raising her three children while slowly earning her college degree. She holds an Associate of Applied Science in Drafting and a Bachelor's in Industrial Management, along with a Property & Casualty License, a Life & Health License, and a Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist certification.

Born and raised in Lake Jackson, Texas, Janessa values the close-knit, family-like atmosphere at Aegis. At Aegis, she continues to grow her expertise and help clients navigate their insurance needs with knowledge, dedication, and a personal touch.

Janessa is deeply involved in her community, currently running for a seat on her local school board to better support teachers and students in the district her children attend. When she's not working, she's a dedicated soccer and water polo mom, an avid traveler, and a lover of hiking, scuba diving, and the arts. She also enjoys game nights, karaoke, and curling up with a good book.
